Beauty and the Geek-21 Reasons to Celebrate

So in case you can't count, last saturday was my 21st birthday. Before you start cracking those gray hair and creaking joint jokes, no I don't feel any older nor wiser nor maturer. In fact after not getting another grad program and today being the last day of university, I just wanna crawl to my mum and ask for some advice on what to do!

But lets not get to miserable. Im about to put up some photos from my party which thanks to my  lovely brother Jono and very pregnant sister in law Ros was awesome (we had the party on their back verandah). Thanks also to my mum and sis for help with the food. Thanks also to the many people who rocked up literally rocking mostly geeky styles and for the presents they gave me. Oh by the way my amazing boyfriend got me an Ipad which is AMAZING and I love him..:)

So the day was great, despite losing our preliminary soccer final. I was spoilt to the max. Thanking God for the many blessings we receive and I hope and pray for more years to come with the people I love.

Generation One-Hands Across Australia

Sometimes in a class I get really inspired and usually its when it involves a song or music. Whats worrying in our country is that the Indigenous People have a life expectancy almost 20 years less than us and the many socio-economic elements that affect their way of life that we don't experience. Many countries with the same colonisation process, namely America, Canada and New Zealand have all made reform regarding their Indigenous population. Ours? They have a life expectancy the same as poor countries like Bangladesh. In Australia! Where we live in the top 10% of Western Society.

Remember, we are all equal in the eyes of GOD. Lets make an improvement.

Sunshine

Hallelujah.Warmth. Sand. Sunshine...ok sunburn but I think I'm finally waking up after a long hibernation haha. It was great warm 25 today as it was yesterday. After church I spent the day in the sun with my wonderful boyfriend and his famjam <3 and today I spent the afternoon with my Dani which was awesome a good catch up. Mission: get lean to be mean fighting machines....Dave wants me to do a triathlon. The scary part is i'm actually thinking about it. Just saw a weather report..its raining for the next couple of days...joy.

So i have my final group presentation tomorrow far flippen out I can't wait till that torture is over. A combination of personalities is never easy sailing. 9 days of education to go!! Havn't heard anything from Bunbury and I have to hand in my resume' to my sister so she can drop it off at Busselton for me.

Yesterday was 9/11. Thinking and Praying for all those affected 10 years ago by such a show of terror. Yesterday Australia also beat Italy in first game of the Rugby World Cup woohoo :D

Car

Hello driving in style!

Just in case an explanation is warranted, its 8 days to my birthday. Well not really coz im destressing after a shift at work so that in 2 hours its actually a week to my 21st birthday. Man facing maturity is scary. On the flip side my dad bought me a car.

Dont think oh spoilt lil rich girl. This car is gonna take me 3 years to pay off haha. See below picture for poshness and a good solid set of wheels. I like. In fact a lot of people like. And i Look like an undercover cop.

So feeling better. Can now eat solid food again. Have started the whooping dry cough which is not that great but at least im back to functioning level again. Looking forward to preliminary finals in soccer tomorrow lets go SAPPHIRES. Also the final for Collingwood vs Eagles. GO THE PIES. Eagles definately gonna lose or my brother in law is always going to hold this against me. Not to mention the rest of Western Australia. Also its the Rugby World Cup 2011 which is pretty darn exciting, considering Australia just won the Bledisloe Cup WOHOO. Lets go WALLABIES. Feeling pretty darn loyal to my nation. Just listen to Andre Rieu ? Reiu? Roo? when he visted Sydney haha yaay.

Ok something I learned this week......Amos is a prophet from Tekoa, five miles south of Bethlehem (helping Dave with his intro) and that CPP=MAP-.....oh crap I've forgotten. Anyway a raised ICP is NOT GOOD. I really need to study more. Anywho, three cheers and looking forward to my beach date with Dan in the new week coz its warming up. Hellooooooo Summer!

sick

this is the 6th time this year that I have something resembling the influenza. I'm not happy. Mainly because I feel like I have swallowed a chainsaw and its just sitting there ripping open my tonsils, back of my throat and vocal cords. One of the worst sore throats I have ever had. Mum tried to send me to the doctor but ALL the surgeries around town were filled up so I just went to ED. Got to meet a cute doctor (young one to!!) and a nice nurse. Funny thing is I probably have my prac there in a couple of weeks haha. But it is not even tonsilitis! The Doc just told me to get heaps of rest. Sigh.
On top of that I have my interview at SJOG today which is pretty scary and annoying because they want me to do the August intake. What am I going to do all year next year then? Travel.
